Welcome to The Firehouse Suite — Morehead City History, Made for Two.
Built in 1958 as the home of the Morehead City Rescue Squad, the town's volunteer emergency crew, this building later became Morehead City Fire-EMS Station 4, a training facility for the Crystal Coast Fire Academy. Rebuilt as a coastal hideaway for two, it kept its character: tall vaulted ceilings, and double glass doors with a firehouse axe above them, right where you park. Spend the day at the beach, take the golf cart downtown for dinner, and end the night with a soak under the stars.

🛺 The Golf Cart — Back Streets to Downtown
Newly added, a luxury 4-seat golf cart comes with your stay. Downtown Morehead City starts at 10th Street, about 15 blocks from the house, and the cart gets you there on quiet back streets for seafood on the waterfront and a sunset stroll on the boardwalk, with no parking to hunt for. It's a neighborhood cart, not a street-legal vehicle, so stay on streets posted 25 mph or under and cross main roads only at lighted intersections. For Atlantic Beach and Beaufort, take the car. Golf carts can't use the bridges.

♨️ The Hot Tub — Private, Screened, Yours
Your hot tub is on the screened back porch and is never shared. The bedroom door opens right onto it, so a late-night soak never means crossing the house. A professional spa company services it every Thursday, and it's one of the features guests mention most.

🛏️ The Suite — King Bed, Vaulted Ceilings, Quiet
Vaulted ceilings open the living room and kitchen into one bright space. The bedroom is the retreat: a plush king bed in fresh linens, room-darkening shades for slow mornings and a Smart TV for movie night. Separate AC units keep the bedroom cool and the living room cozy, and the full bath has a tub, plus shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.

"This little place is a hidden gem. Clean, neat, close to everything and the bed was extremely comfortable." — Stephanie, September 2026

🍳 Kitchen, Laundry and Workspace
Cook real meals with a stove, oven, microwave, kettle, cookware and the basics stocked. The pod coffee maker is ready for your first morning and the wine glasses are ready for the porch. The washer and dryer are on the screened porch with pods and dryer sheets, and a dedicated workspace with WiFi covers a remote workday.

🐾 Bring the Dog
Dogs are welcome for $100 per pet, and service animals are always welcome. The fenced yard sits to the left of the driveway, shaded by a big oak with a picnic table, and is shared with the guests upstairs. An outdoor shower handles the rinse-off.

📍 Location — Central Morehead City on the Crystal Coast
The Firehouse Suite sits in central Morehead City, in the middle of North Carolina's Crystal Coast. Guests call it "close to everything," and quiet, too.
Downtown Morehead City (by golf cart on the back streets, or about 5 minutes by car): the waterfront on Evans Street, with its boardwalk, charter fishing fleet and seafood spots like the Sanitary Fish Market. Every October, the North Carolina Seafood Festival fills the same waterfront.
Atlantic Beach (5 minutes): swimming, the Circle and the restored 1830s fort at Fort Macon State Park.
Historic Beaufort (10 minutes): the Front Street boardwalk, the North Carolina Maritime Museum and boat tours to see the wild horses of Shackleford Banks and the Rachel Carson Reserve.

✈️ Flying in: Coastal Carolina Regional Airport (EWN) in New Bern is about 40 minutes away. Raleigh-Durham (RDU) is about 2.5 to 3 hours.

🔑 Guest Access
The entire one-bedroom suite is yours, including the private hot tub on the screened back porch.
